Cereals, the main food resource for humanity, will soon be required to feed more than 8 billion individuals on our planet, and take part in the development of new raw materials and renewable energies.

As one of the five main cereal exporters in the world, Europe is undoubtedly the area that offers the greatest consistency in its production, the most diversified supply and the most advanced organization, with genuine regulation of production. Within the European Union, French cereal farming performs among the best, and has proven its capacity to meet a diversity of needs efficiently, from the most specialized niche markets to those that are more standard with an emphasis on high volume.

In this context, the "Céréales Vallée" cluster aims to contribute to taking up a threefold challenge that meets the requirements of economic competitiveness, food security and the social and territorial performances stipulated by society in France and Europe:

• to improve the competitiveness of more specialized produce by proposing new qualities and functions,
• to improve the competitiveness of the production of commodities by proposing solutions that can satisfy the demands of food and non-food industries at optimal cost,
• to improve the management of natural resources and optimize the impact of agriculture on our environment.
